i fell ill the first night i got there. dayquil and nyquil saved me though!(thank you pharmaceutical company that invented that, you win). i lived in a good medicine haze/stupor for four days and granted i accomplished nothing i had set out to do (like take pictures of the statue of liberty) but i did manage to pack in time with lots of good peeps.
for night life i went from divey to fancy to funny and a little inbetween. i'm not sure how it happens but it seems in the blink of eye 4am seems to come around. which is funny because here in seattle i'm out at 11pm and bored by 1am....
i once imagined i would live in new york. sometimes i think the time has passed though, i would have enjoyed it in my 20's more or maybe it would be better now?

Ah. I miss NYC. Joy and I lived there for the summer after college graduation and had some wild times. I still think it would be good to live there again...maybe another spring? or summer? or fall? NOT winter.
Sounds like a good time, Chira. Sorry to hear about the cold, but medicine + booze definitely do the trick, until the next morning when you need even more medicine and booze :)
