dear camera,
oh i remember it like it was yesterday when i purchased you off of amazon 5 years ago now. what fun times we've had. you've accompanied me to so many places and events. so many travels and nights of drunkendocumenting now all on my laptop (and removable HD too!) all thanks to you!
i mistreated you a little but you held up so well. sometimes dropping you, sometimes getting sand in you..... remember when i finally learned night setting and made all the annoying lights blur into pretty lines? or when i finally learned some minor adjustments so that i could take picture of sunsets better? oh those were good times. as sad as i was to flip your switch and feel no tension, no click nothing last saturday in the middle of a birthday. i understood it was your time to go. no hard feelings. no regrets.
love and kisses.

it will be missed.
i was sooooooo sad when my first elf died. this new one is just not as awesome.
and i felt the same way when saki taught me about night time settings.
between the two of us we've taken a bazillion nighttime party pictures in seattle.
This is cute and sad at the same time. R.I.P. Chira-camera.
@dactyl, I also had an Elph (w/ Advantix film) that served me well for years. I still have a bunch of undeveloped rolls, plus a bunch of prints that are all glued together now b/c they were sitting on top of each other for who knows how long.
