bikram

i'm on a mini kick. an hour and a half of hot, sweaty posed motions.

i've been doing bikram here. got myself a monthly pass. if you go i highly encourage the capitol hill location over the shoreline one. i've been to the shoreline one twice and the instructors and/or the space just didn't really feel right to me.

even though its absolute icky sweaty torture where sometimes I feel like I want to PASS OUT AND DIE. afterwards i feel rejuvinated.

i think its especially due to my favorite pose in the series....

SHAVASNA! aka dead body pose.... ha!ha!
What can i say? I was an orchestra kid who stopped taking gym after middle school.

the big apple

i went on a mini trip to nyc last week. i LOVE crashing in other people's work paid hotels, thanks d! midtown what!?! there is something about the big apple that just RE-ENERGIZES me. it makes me feel more productive and want to accomplish more.... i am a city girl at heart.

i fell ill the first night i got there. dayquil and nyquil saved me though!(thank you pharmaceutical company that invented that, you win). i lived in a good medicine haze/stupor for four days and granted i accomplished nothing i had set out to do (like take pictures of the statue of liberty) but i did manage to pack in time with lots of good peeps.

for night life i went from divey to fancy to funny and a little inbetween. i'm not sure how it happens but it seems in the blink of eye 4am seems to come around. which is funny because here in seattle i'm out at 11pm and bored by 1am....

i once imagined i would live in new york. sometimes i think the time has passed though, i would have enjoyed it in my 20's more or maybe it would be better now?

dear 20's

dear 20's,

its over. we are breaking up. not by choice you see, but by circumstance. oh the crazy times, oh the sad times and the happy times too. we came in so fresh, so positive, and now what seems so happily naive. we hit some bumps along the road but dusted ourselves off and lived thru it all. but here we are at the end of the road. this chapter its time to close.

thanks for everything.
all the lessons learned.
the wisdom earned. (hopefully)

i will always treasure all our memories fondly.

hugs.
me

the resolution

a resolution to myself (along with the normal health blah blah) is to think about, define and seperate things that are this:

cir·cum·stan·tial
1 : belonging to, consisting in, or dependent on circumstances 2 : pertinent but not essential : incidental 3 : marked by careful attention to detail : abounding in factual details

p.s. today i received a phone call and my niece now LAUGHs to the word "boobies", i witnessed this and it was pretty awesome.

like snow

well hello there. i'm sorry i've been too busy playing in the snow to update. i would post pictures but i feel as though you've probably been inundated with seattle snow pics.

sad news is, i lost my point and shoot on an (after sledding) bar hop. good news is, the impromptu slumber party and friends that hiked from safeco to the top of queen anne made it worth it.

my street/neighborhood has turned into a mini whistler. its amazing the feeling of this neighborhood. the main street has been closed since thursday and i am two shakes of a lambs tail from the launch point of the sledders/skiers. on sunday (all day snow day) it erupted into an incredible block party.

i hear everyone complaining (about the streets) already but for me, even though i have to hike to the bottom to catch any buses and sometimes wait an hour to catch a bus (well just twice).... i've enjoyed having to change my routine. i've played and frolicked with many a strangers, acquaintances and friends. met people on the bus, on my street and have hung out with many neighbors.

hope you all have a happy holidays.
travel safe and don't forget to stop and enjoy today.
there will always be tomorrow.
